About First Aid Course Leeds

First Aid Course Leeds has been delivering accredited first aid training in Leeds since 2018. In that time, more than 5,000 people have qualified with us — from workplace first aiders and healthcare teams to nursery staff, childminders and parents.

We're proud to be a genuinely local provider, based at our own training centre in Hunslet, helping the people and businesses of Leeds and West Yorkshire be ready when it matters most.

Our service

We run the full range of accredited first aid and workplace safety courses — Emergency First Aid at Work, First Aid at Work, Level 3 and Emergency Paediatric First Aid, Mental Health First Aid, CPR & defibrillator, anaphylaxis, and fire safety.

Courses run as open sessions at our Leeds centre, or on site at your workplace, school or setting anywhere across West Yorkshire — for groups of up to 12.

Meet your trainer — Martin Sanders

Our training is led by Martin Sanders, a Leeds-based first aid trainer with a background you won't often find in a classroom.

Martin is a serving firefighter, and within the fire service he also works as a Casualty Care Instructor, a Physical Training Instructor and a Youth Intervention Instructor — so he spends his working life dealing with real emergencies and teaching others how to respond to them.

As well as holding the FAA Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work (RQF), he is a qualified instructor and assessor, with a Level 3 Award in Preparing to Teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector and a City & Guilds Level 3 Award in Assessing Competence in the Work Environment.

The result is practical, calm and confidence-building training that's grounded in the real world — not just read from a manual.
